Pursuant to Article 84 of Law No. 5174 on the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye and Chambers and Commodity Exchanges, the Kütahya Trade Registry Directorate has commenced issuing Election Authorisation Certificates for the elections of the Full and Substitute Members of our Chamber’s Professional Committees and Assembly, which will be held at the Kütahya Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Saturday, 3 October 2026.

Representatives of legal entities participating in our Chamber’s elections may cast their votes upon presentation of an “Election Authorisation Certificate” issued by the Trade Registry Directorate, confirming that they are authorised to represent and bind the legal entity in accordance with its registered articles of association, or an electronically issued “Election-Specific e-Registry Certificate”.

Sole traders who own commercial enterprises may cast their votes by presenting their Turkish Republic identity cards bearing their Turkish identification numbers, without the need for any additional documentation.

Election Authorisation Certificate

The Election Authorisation Certificate is issued in physical form by our Chamber’s Trade Registry Directorate and bears a handwritten signature. The following conditions and procedures apply:

1. The certificate must be requested by submitting a physically signed application petition bearing a handwritten signature.

2. An authorisation certificate will be issued for only one representative.

3. Where representatives have joint authority, the application petition must specify the representative for whom the certificate is requested and must be signed by the jointly authorised representatives.

4. Where more than one representative has individual authority, the application petition may be signed jointly or by any one of the individually authorised representatives. The authorisation certificate will be issued to the first individually authorised representative to submit an application.

5. Election Authorisation Certificates are issued only to representatives holding unrestricted authority, whether individual and/or joint. Certificates will not be issued to representatives whose authority is restricted.

6. For branches, Election Authorisation Certificates may be issued both to representatives holding unrestricted authority at the branch and to those holding unrestricted authority at the head office. In the latter case, a photocopy of the head office’s Trade Registry Certificate must be attached to the application petition.

7. A new authorisation certificate will not be issued unless the previously issued certificate has been returned. If a certificate is lost, a replacement may be issued in the name of the same representative, provided that the application is submitted by the same person or persons who made the original request. If an application is made to issue a replacement certificate in the name of a different representative, the application petition must be signed by all representatives authorised to represent and bind the legal entity.

8. Election Authorisation Certificates will not be issued to representatives of companies that have been dissolved, entered into liquidation or been declared bankrupt.

9. Foreign nationals who are individual members, as well as foreign national representatives of legal entity members, may cast their votes using their foreign identification numbers registered with the Trade Registry.

Election-Specific e-Registry Certificate

The Election-Specific e-Registry Certificate is issued electronically for legal entities that have only one representative with individual authority.

The certificate may be obtained by logging into the Central Registry Record System (MERSİS) using an e-Government password.

Applications for Election-Specific e-Registry Certificates cannot be submitted for branches.

No administrative fees or service charges will be collected for the issuance of Election Authorisation Certificates or Election-Specific e-Registry Certificates.
